Mia is a queer trans writer and Student Social Worker hailing from Santa Rosa, CA. Their pronouns are she and her or anything gender neutral. Mia studies Clinical Social Work at Hunter with a focus on Global Social Work Practice and working with immigrants and refugees. She aspires to one day incorporate art, movement, and music into trauma-informed clinical work with LGBTQ+ survivors of violence.

In their totally abundant and super existent free time outside of full time work and school and internship, they occasionally find time to feed their writerly self. Mia’s science fiction and fantasy writing attempts to describe queer identities, gender, and sexuality in complete silliness using subtle magic, responsibly acquired folklore, planets that are people, intergalactic star ships, and time dilation.
